Puppy Pumpkin Pie treats – To make this healthy dog treat, you would need 2½ cup of whole wheat flour, ¼ cup of toasted wheat germ and flax seed each, 1 cup of pumpkin puree, ⅓cup of natural peanut butter, 1 egg and 1 egg yolk, ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of dark brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of canola oil and water.

You need to take the cinnamon, flax seed, wheat germ and the flour in a medium bowl and combined together. Separately whisk the pumpkin puree, egg, butter, oil and water and store in a different bowl. Now you would be required to pour the wet ingredient onto the dry ingredient’s bowl and stir to form rough dough. Roll the dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut out treats of different shapes by means of treat cutters. Use the egg yolk to brush the top of each treat.
Bake the treats in a preheated oven (350°F) until they turn slightly brown and relatively hard. This process should not take anything more than 35-40 minutes. Cool the biscuits to harden them. Once cooled, you can serve them to your beloved pet.
